I own a Kia Caren 2007 gasoline model with 30kilometer mileage. Last week, the car wouldn't start and Kia diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump. Are there owners out there with similar fuel pump problems?

I own a Kia Caren 2007 gasoline model with 30kilometer mileage. Last week, the car wouldn't start and Kia diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump. Are there owners out there with similar fuel pump problems? Did they state if they will they replace the fuel pump (Is it still a valid warranty claim)? Fortunately for us who own the diesel variant, we have not encountered similar problems. From what I read at PDI, there are issues with CRDI engine when the fuel filter is dirty (the engine won't start) and this needs to be replaced by 20,000 kms. Many Carens owners here have the CRDi version but there are also a few who own the gas version (therer were posters at the 2007 Kia Carens thread that owned the gas version AFAIK). Please update us on the status of your warranty (or not) claim. Thanks. BTW, welcome to the clubcarens forum
