I had our Carens serviced yesterday sa Kia Mandaluyong. There was a knocking sound in the front left wheel, and the front passenger door lock was getting stuck at times.
I was billed 896.00 for labor. All they did was retighten some bolts for the shock mounting (na fix naman yung knocking sound), and lubricated the door locks (they removed the door panel to reach the locking mechanism).
I remember having my 5k, 10k and 15k PMS and they didn't charge me for labor. I called my dealer (Kia Pasig) and asked why they were billing me for labor / service since my unit is still under warranty, my dealer said that they changed the policy on service / labor charges.
Ganon na ba talaga ngayon?

Well yun first lang ang supposedly free labor cost talaga and pag sa warranty issues naman wala dapat ikaw bayaran na labor cost if nagclaim ka lang ng warranty. But kung yung binayaran mo ay dahil sa nagpa pms ka well tama lang yan labor charge nila sa iyo.

i had my carens fix the following:
1. re-tighten the nut sa may fuel lines, nagkaron kasi ng leak e, tumutulo yung crudo 2. pina-check ko rin yung foglamps na hindi na gumagana, busted fuse ( kaya pala hindi ko mahanap-hanap yung fuse kasi nandun pala sa mismong relay nya ) 3. backing sensor na hindi na rin gumagana, pinalitan daw ng control unit
now all is back to normal, nakalimutan ko lang bumili ng air filter marumi na kasi e
i was charged Php 450 + VAT, labor only.

Ganon na ba talaga ngayon? This is definitely a warranty job and you should have not paid them! What's the use of buying a brand new car with 3 year warranty at that? They cannot change policies because they are bound to abide by the warrranty contract included when we bought our brand new car. Know your rights.
