Hi Guys, I'm going to Balanga, Bataan on Saturday and would appreciate if anyone of you can give me directions, I'll be coming from Proj. 4, QC. This is my first time to drive up north so I really need help on what road to take. Once out of EDSA, I'll take NLEX. Will it be best if I get out of Dau then take SCTEX? From SCTEX, should I take the last exit? From there di ko na alam hehheheh... Thanks in advance! Bingski  |

here is a birds eye view of the route from edsa to balanga, bataan, marked in yellow. nlex is on the right, sctex on the left.  reset your counter when at nlex, after about 76km exit right at SCTEX then take the loop to turn left at SCTEX <-- take note of this, if you go right you are going towards baguio/tarlac.  after about 44km on sctex, exit right at dinalupihan exit then left to provincial highway, this should take you straight to balanga.  Now, you should notice that SCTEX is the longer route but it is the route I take as I think it is faster. The carens should be flying in there I am not from there, just a traveler so I don't know if this is the best route... hope it helps you. |

Wow galing naman. Oo nga, I noticed based from the map that the SCTEX route is longer, but I guess it will be faster.

Hi Mam Bingski, SCTEX would be faster if you travel at 150 to 180 km/h  , mahaba po kasi masyado kung first time nyo po to travel to bataan, i would suggest you take the NLEX-SCTEX route, though mahaba yung byahe maganda naman yung kalsada compared sa San Fernando-Olongapo road. from NLEX, pag exit nyo sa last toll gate dahan dahan na lang po kayo para makita nyo yung sign na SCTEX, take that turn/loop tapos papasok po kayo sa SCTEX toll gate, tapos po tuloy tuloy na po yung byahe nyo, e-exit po kayo sa DINALUPIHAN, pagkabayad nyo po sa Dinalupihan toll, dire-diretso po kayo ulit tapos yung pinakadulo nun turn right po kayo, nakalimutan ko kung ano yung sign na nakalagay dun ( maybe Balanga or Mariveles ), pagka-kanan nyo po dire-diretso na po yun, Roman Superhiway all the way to Balanga, warning lang po, ang panget po ng kalsada dito so ingat na lang po kayo, gaganda lang po yung kalsada pag malapit na kayo sa Balanga, hehehehehe saan po pala sa balanga ang punta nyo mam? btw, ingat po sa SCTEX, nanghuhuli na rin po sila ng overspeeding |

a ok, sa Roman Superhiway po makikita nyo naman po yung sign na "to Balanga Town Proper", pakaliwa po ito at may Petron station po sa left side din. pagka-left turn nyo po, dire-diretso lang po kayo, yung unang malaking street na pa-right kakanan po kayo dun, bale tapat po ng Bataan General Hospital yun. yung street na yun maikli lang po yun tapos yung unang intersection kakaliwa po kayo, may emission testing po dun sa corner makikita nyo po yun. tapos diretsuhin nyo na po yung street na yun, madadaanan nyo na po yung jollibee, crown royale hotel, simbahan ng balanga, plaza ng balanga, arcade, 2 gasoline station shell at caltex. sa mga intersections po diretso lang kayo. pagkalagpas nyo po dun sa 2 gasoline stations malapit na po yun, sa right side po yun, tanong tanong na lang po kayo para hindi po kayo lumagpas. pag nakita nyo na po yung memorial park parang nalampasan nyo na (di ko maalala, hehehhe )

Thanks guys for the direction. I'm back in Manila now and sobrang happy sa long drive. Indeed, our Carens is very powerful hehhehhe...
Can't help but go over the speed limit of 100 kmp at NLEX and SCTEX. Average of 110 ako... bad bad bad. Medyo badtrip because it rained so hard when we were already at SCTEX, as in swerte na ang 50m visibility. Upon exiting at Dinalupihan, nagpatila muna kami ng ulan sa Total gas station. I didn't want to take the risk of driving sa lakas ng ulan na hindi alam yung road condition ahead. Thank God we arrived at Balanga.
Ang naging itinerary was Project 4, QC - Singalong, Malate - Balanga, Bataan - Singalong, Malate - Proj. 4, QC. Total distance is 369 km and almost half lang consumption ng fuel (nagpafull tank ako last night). Not bad!!!

Sir seymorebutts, gawa na ba yung kalsada sa lubao, pampanga? is it advisable to pass there now? pupunta kasi kami sa mariveles, bataan on saturday, tomorrow, june 6.. tia

sir reden, the last time lumuwas ako was last saturday may30, may inaayos pa rin po pero 2 lane naman so hindi naman nagkaka traffic. para sa akin po, ok naman dumaan though may option pa kayong isa which is SCTEX(maganda kalsada, malayo nga lang iikutin, aantukin ka kasi puro bundok makikita mo hehehe)

whenever i go to balanga i always see a new carens, plate starts with N** na, anong color ng carens mo sir? mine is urban gray ;D

Ah, ok, wala pang plate number yung sa akin eh, sa sabado ko pa dadalhin sa Kia pampanga, dumating na daw kanina eh, tapos iiwan ko dun kasi may pinalalaminate ko yung panel, color titanium silver, sa BCS (Bataan Christian School) meron din akong nakikitang dalawang Carens, White saka titanium silver din, baka yun yung nakikita nyo, If I can remember ''N'' nga yata nag start yung plate nung titanium.
