Guys have you read the problems of the Carens owners at tsikot forums? Grabe yung iba wala pang 20K may reklamo na rin re suspension, ac compressor, engine noise etc. Their main reklamo is Columbian. Ang bagal daw magreact regarding warranty issues.
Actually I agree. Im trying to replace my four shock absorbers dahil maingay. Awa ng Diyos wala pa rin. Its been 2 months na. Also my rear Stab links wala pa rin.
Share naman your experience regarding this and what happened afterwards. Maybe we can approach the people at Columbian. Masisira din sila dito if they don't do anything about it.

yes I've read them and I agree about the bad after sales service of Columbian. Under normal conditions though, hindi lang Carens ang mga may ganitong problema (suspension, a/c, noise). Halos lahat din ng mga brand ng kotse may mga compalints thread sa tsikot (i.e Toyota D4D's).
Some are far worse than what they've been complaining about. The problem is, Columbian seems to be celebrating too early the success of its marketing efforts pero hindi nila tinitignan yung katayuan ng mga tunay na nagpataas ng Kia brand standing ng Kia sa Philippines which are the buyers and "risk-takers" like you and me..
I have not encountered any problems with my Carens yet requiring warranty claims but I dread the day when it comes..
It's time to give CAC a wake up call para lang mapreserve ang gains ng Kia..pero yun nga paano kaya? Petition letter kaya?

Mas maganda magkaron ng poll kung ilang members na ang nag claim ng warranty at hindi naayos ng dealer para malaman natin kung meron tayo basehan mag reklamo as a whole sa Columbian. Ilagay din natin kung anong dealer ang sablay sa pag accomodate ng warranty claims.

Totoo yun sir hanren. I saw some of the threads ng ibang brands. Mas grabe reklamo nila. Tama rin we should post a poll regarding sa mga warranty issues so we can have a head count and submit a formal letter to CAC. I hope lang they will respond to it.

I am sure Columbia will respond if we have the numbers because that way they know that it does not come from some isolated case.

kaya nga we have this club, kung magiging active ang maraming carens-owners dito sa club, then, we will have the proper vehicle and forum for all our issues with our carens.
I have already claimed repairs against the warranty and so far, wala namang naging problema that I can remember. Depende na rin siguro sa dealership where you had the repairs done. Usually kasi ako sa Kia Pasig kasi yun ang mas malapit sa amin.

I have also read it, nag post din nga ako ng mga reklamo ko dun sa tsikot forum eh, sa akin yung engine noise and black smoke, maybe im just paranoid lang but i already told the casa re my case, sabi ng mechanic, ipasok ko na lang for them to check it, sasabay ko na lang when my parts arrive, till now wala pa daw eh. This past few days di ako maka log-in dito sa forum natin, i dont know why though kasi like now nakaka log-in naman ako  |

Guy, naayos na sa wakas carens ko, tagal din ng spare parts dumating, almost 2months, around 1 wk lng inayos ng casa dito (dent repair, repainting, and installation ng mga parts). And also, ni reprogram nila ang egr (tama ba ang term ko?), pina observe ko pa sa father in law ko kng nawala na ang usok, lately daw sobrang mausok daw carens ko eh nung di pa na reprogram, hopefully mawala nga.

Thanks sir snerac, yesterday, tinest ng father in law ko, medyo walang usok na daw lumalabas, and di na daw bitin sa acceleration....hay salamat!!

Congrats sir Vin...pwede ba ireprogram ang egr kahit di mausok para maimprove further yung acceleration? Baka pwede din gawin sa mga units namin... Thanks  |

Di ako sure if they can re-program the egr to improve the acceleration, di ako kasi nag dala ng carens sa casa, im still here in China, sabi ng biyenan ko, sabi daw ng casa that yung usok daw instead na lumalabas sa exhaust, bumabalik daw kaya medyo hina ang hatak and mausok, dont know if tama ang sabi nila, kaya may inadjust sila sa egr....kaya sabi ko sa biyenan ko na i observe nya muna ang carens if talaga nag improve.

Maganda nga sir kung ikaw mismo makatest kung nag improve nga yung acceleration. At least medyo may improvements ang Casa dun sa inyo (Bacolod). May isang Gray Carens dito sa Baguio pero model 2009 ata ito based on the plate number. Naobserve ko grabe ang lumabas na medyo maitim na usok tuwing nag aaccelerate. Pero yung sa akin naman di ganun kausok. Baka nga may mga units na hindi nareprogram bago irelease ng Casa. But this is just my opinion... |

I wiil surely try pag uwi ko this coming aug 28, pa check mo din sir ang sa iyo, kasi minsan di natin napapansin eh kung tayo ang nag dadrive, mapapansin lang natin if we make hard accelaration, but kung regular driving lang, minsan di natin makikita na ma itim na pala ang usok, pag uwi ko nga im planning to change the fuel filter kahit na 12000kms pa lang ang takbo ng carens ko, medyo madumi kasi ang diesel natin kaya to be safe, palitan ko every 10000kms na lang. Actually yung nag reprogram ng egr is not the kia casa but yung chevy na casa kasi isa lang ang owner, yung repainting kasi was held at chevy service center kasi yung kia wala, then yung mga mechanics dun ang nakapansin na maitim na, they ask my biyenan permission first if they could reprogram it bago nila inayos ang egr. |

Update ko lng guys, sabi ng biyenan ko, gumanda daw talaga ang takbo ng carens ko and di na masyado mausok, laki daw ng pagbabago when they adjusted the egr.
