Hi Guys, I'm on a 10-business trip in... Karachi, Pakistan. Yes, you read that right. Left Manila on 12:30pm, June 29 on Cathay Pacific flight to HK. Had to change planes, waited 2.5 hrs then off to Bangkok for a short stop over. Waited again for 2 hours then off to Karachi. I arrived at Karachi airport at 11:45pm. What can I say... security outside the airport was tight. I saw a man on top of a moving pickup truck with his long gun (sorry I'm not familiar with guns). A Mcdonald's restaurant right outside the airport, was that a relief for me I think it was a blessing that I arrived late at night. At least no traffic and less people. I was able to sleep for 6 hours, thank God. Accommodation was great. I stayed in our company's guest house. It's a huge house with 8 rooms, 2 living room, 2 dining room, 2 kitchen and a gorgeous rooftop. The reality has sink in as the driver took me to the office. It's obvious that it's a thriving country. and I saw very few women on the street and even in the office building. They really respect women as I have a special spot on the elevator They were extra nice to me, I'm not sure if it's because I'm a women or I'm a foreigner or both. So far, my 1st day was exciting. I'm not really afraid of going to this Muslim country, I was even looking forward to the trip (I'm sure my family is thinking otherwise). I just have small chats with God every now and then to just watch over me and keep me safe. That's it for now guys. I'll keep you posted on my adventures and will post the pictures soon.

Mabuhay!!! It's my 4th day in Karachi and I'd like to share some of the photos that I took. I'll have more photos this weekend as one of my colleagues will take make to different places. Taken on the rooftop of the guesthouse where I'm staying. Bus on the busy business district.

I haven't seen a Kia car here. Mukhang malabong magkaron ng Carens dito kse mostly maliliit ang mga car nila. They drive like mad people here. Ilang beses na parang nalaglag ang puso ko kse montik na kaming mabangga or masagian ng bus. Kaloka!!
