Hi again,
I loaded Shell V Power Diesel for the first time after I loaded (and emptied) on Petron's Turbo Diesel. I didn't expect the improved performance when I made a run for it from Dagupan to Baguio.
This kind of performance was noticeably absent when I loaded with Petron's Turbo Diesel. This is just based on a personal driving experience (btw, halos empty na yung fuel tank before I loaded with Shell V Power). Marami pang pwedeng factors na nag improve sa performance.
Baka may nakatry na sa inyo. Gusto ko lang mavalidate kasi kung yung fuel nga ang factor kaya gumanda ang takbo ng carens ko.
Thanks.

Hanren, I also tried the petron turbo diesel, I am not satisfied, there's no difference in terms of performance and engine quieteness. Secondly , it is so expensive.
Maybe what happened to your ride is: 1. the petron brand cleaned your injectors. 2. the shell brand, further cleaned it ( full tank), that may explain why when your on your way up to baguio, the torque is better and your engine quieter.
In other club forums, they are patronizing caltex. They have good experience with it and in fact one member made an experiment on the 3 diesel brand. The caltex brand stood out. It is in the website of santa fe club ph.
Lets organize/ schedule an eb someday so we can share among us owners. Our vehicle is already 3 or about to turn 3 years old. Lets make this site alive again. No one posting that much already.

Thanks Sir Bengmd ..yes i think kelangan na nating magregroup muli. Wala na kasi tayong gaanong interaction dito sa forum kaya its time that we meet together.
I plan to finish (or empty) the Shell V Diesel on my Carens tank before I also try Caltex. Yung Turbo diesel feeling ko nagsayang lang ako ng pera mas mahal pa nga siya. Suspect ko nga baka "placebo" lang yung nilagay (or regular diesel lang - because we actually don't know unless ipatest natin ang content nung nilagay nila). I hope I'm wrong.
I travelled all the way to Dagupan to have my 35k pms kaso puno ang service bay ng Kia Dagupan at di na ako maaccommodate. Sayang kasi I travelled 90 kms all the way from Baguio tapos wala pala mangyayari. Nagpaquote na lang ako tuloy (total cost for 35k pms is 4,950 pesos).

Hi,
I'm also a Carens owner (crdi) and I use the regular Petron Diesel. But right now, I'm trying out the Shell V Power Diesel because a friend told me that (a petrol engineer) that shell diesel are better fuels.
Well anyway here is my experience (fyi: I loaded the new fuel only after getting the empty lights on the tanks), so far in terms of performance, there is a huge difference in terms of pulling power and acceleration. Using the V Power Diesel gives better torque and acceleration and the engine seems quieter now. But in terms of mileage, right now I'm not seeing any improvements, much worse is that I think my mileage went down. I'm still waiting for my tanks to empty so I can re-compute the mileage.
Mali din ata pag load kung saan ako nagpa-full tank ng vpower, kasi usually when I get a full tank at Petron i get around 45-50 liters pero nung sa shell (from empty) nasa 35liters lang.

Wow thanks sir Acidslide now at least 2 na tayo na may first hand experience sa Shell.. I decided to reload (full tank - to the brim) Shell V Power. I still would like to enjoy the current engine performance kaya saka na ako magswiswitch..di ko rin mameasure ang mileage kasi di ko naireset yung trip meter...

hi guys,
i've been using shell v power diesel for more than 2 months now. napansin ko lang na "medyo" gumanda ang fuel consumption ko. dati average fc is 9km/ltr, ngayon 10km/ltr. same driving style, same daily route, mixed highway- city driving.
I also already have 1 sunshade, 2 id laces & 1 non-slip mat courtesy of shell v power.

So far, I also have 1 id lace, I sunshade (laki nito kasyang kasya hehehe) and I non-slip mat.

ive been using petron diesel ever since. my latest milage was 11.89km/ltr pure city driving yung sinundan is mix city and highway drive at 12.6km/ltr and my pure highway slex-nlex sctex to pangasinan umabot ng 13.6km/ltr. i think yung milage ay depende rin kung paano tayo mag drive. pag kc ang misis ko ang may dala e mababa ang milage nya kc magas sya kung magdrive. i try to drive na di lalampas ng 2000 rpm pag city driving.
